First Fish

Caught my first ever salmon last night. It weighed in at 5 1/2 pound so not a monster but big enough to bring a huge cheesy grin to my ugly mug for quite some time. It was caught on the worm on the lower Towy. As it was a small cock fish and as fresh as a daisy it was kept for the table as well as the fact the hook was well down. Next challenge now is to try and catch up with one to donate to the hatchery. I am just happy to of got the monkey off my back it was starting to feel that I was never going to catch a salmon.
