How popular are switch rods amongst sea trout lads?????

Is so which one and what line weight

anybody use one or would I be better with a 9'6'' or 10' 7# or 8# tip action of middle to tip.

Sorry dalesman I don't use one myself I would either use my 10ft 7wt or when I'm feeling brave I will use my 13ft 8_9wt smaller enough for seatrouting and big enough for salmon run aswell|\

Hi dalesman,I use one occasionally mainly for fishing deep with tubes when there's been a lift and the colour has dropped out but the water is still high. Normally fish a fast intermediate or floating line with sink tips.
