2013 done

Well, 2013 over for sea trout. One of my poorest ever in terms of the amount I fished and fish caught.

2 nights on the Mawddach in early June - no fish (but a bit early)
3 nights on the Ribble throughout the season - no fish
1 night on the Welsh Dee in July - no fish
1 night on the Cumbrian Esk in August - 2 fish

Pretty disappointing but the very low water didn't help as a lot of the rivers were choked with weed in July and August. Generally didn't seem to be many fish around this season though. ::

Yes, it's been slow going on a lot of waters this year. The sewin were very late on the Teifi, with many a blank return before August. I worked hard for a handful of school fish.....But that's the game sometimes.

Yes seems effort in relation to reward has been pretty poor not just this year, but in recent years as well.
Ah well.
