re flies for the tiefi

I am going to stay at Dolhaid Mansion near newcastle emlyn in june and have fishing on the Teithi with the cottage .Having never fished for sea trout what flies are best for this time of year and where would be the best source for them.any advice would be welcome

Don't know the Teifi as well as the Tywi, but i've caught on a squirrel silver and blue from size 12 double up to a 1 inch tube plus a surface lure.
There are others here who know it better than me!

Hi Smokie,

June is a lovely month to be on the Teifi. Start of June can be tough, but usually a case of quality over quantity.

Cullster found here on the forum sells sea trout flies, and I would highly recommend his tying skills and service. Certainly worth investing in a few from him.

Beyond that, you should be carrying the usual array of patterns, covering small doubles through to 1/5-2 inch tubes.
