Try these, they have a couple of mag. fluo. circular lights.
    The tubes are:
    Code
    Option Watts Price Buy
    HO315 Daylight Circular Tube 28W £14.24*
    HO353 Daylight Circular Tube 22W £14.24

    http://www.betterlifehealthcare.com/

Put magnifying lamps in the search box.
    Hope this helps.

        Good Answer!

If you'd 'hit the wall' I was going to suggest US based web sites.

It might not come to that.
Know anybody whose good with electrics/electronics?
You could have the defunct switch replaced.
Who are the makers of your particular lamp?
P.M. if you like with the info. I'll see what can be done.

If you have to buy one:
            HO309 Fluorescent Magnifier White £116.46*
            S1026 Table Clamp For HO309 - £30.23*
*These prices have compulsory VAT included
These items are from the same web site pasted in my original reply
They might be cheaper elswhere, just haven't looked around much this morning
The price might depend on what magnification your after

There's got to be a way, thats a lot of money to just throw away.... if it is just a switch and nothing really smartarsed can't you forget the switch (bypass it) and then just put a bedside lamp style switch in the power line ?

Rather than throw it away send it to me and I'll 'have a look' at it for you... and if I fix it safely I'll even return it to you.

You can get on with some fly tying now then with no excuses for some misaligned wings, dodgy hackling etc :> :> :>.
Did you try and get the other one fixed at all? Or was it consigned to the filling cabinet under the desk.
