A good friend is suffering with his eyesight. To such an extent that he now needs surgery, which the NHS cannot give him. He's a young guy and cannot reach the £8,400 or so needed to have this surgery. As such, the fishing community has come together to try and raise enough money to enable him to have this surgery.

He is a very talented angler; in fact, he has been the Welsh Team Captain.

I literally put myself in his shoes and thought what he must be going through; he is just 35 years old and has a young family. He lives for his fishing and fly tying. He can fish for a couple of hours but has packed away his tying gear, because his sight is now so bad. Very sad.
