Fly choice, size???

Hi all
Quick question, what size fly/tube would you use at this stage of the season?
I generally base fly selection on two things. Light levels and river height. Early evening and towards dawn smaller flies. Higher water bigger flies.
Thoughts please...,., cheers ZT

If the water has colour and running high i general use a bigger more coloured fly
One to get more weight in the fly to help get it down in faster water and brighter colours help it to be seen

I'm sure you will get a more experienced answer from others on here but that's my take on it
