Dai.J was using this to great effect over the weekend at the fly fair. I have bought a couple of tubes from crystal river some time ago, but have not got round to using it yet.

Dai, Is this the stuff? I think it's the same label? I can't find it in different thicknesses though?

Also, found this torch with the required 395nm, which I assume is all that's needed?

Hi TT, thats the same UV Gel Dai recommended to me at 0.99p you can't go wrong I bought 6 bottles as it comes from China , and the torch costs less than £2 , you couldn't buy 1 bottle of varnish from Boots for that sought of price and it really finishes off the flies beautifully Tightlines Pete.

Perfect, thanks a lot Pete, much appreciated. I have been using a lot of superglue, but having seen this stuff in use a few times now under different names firmly believe it gives a better finish.

Hi Steff, Thank you very much for your comments, on my tying at the show.

Those links are fine, one thing don't buy off any other seller, you will see it cheaper. i went down that road~# and the one's i had back do not work as well,
The seller you linked to are the best, i only get the top coat off them.

The uv torch is very nice looking, best i have seen. not just black|\ nice blue color and 395mn power, will get a few as spares and color on the desk~:..

Like you say, better than super glue, which i find makes materials very stiff. and break off easy when fishing,

Look forward, to seeing what you come up with. don't forget also those patterns you saw me tying, tie them in smaller sizes. for the river sewin love them:?

Above is another link, to a top coat which is about three time as thick. great for using on bigger bass/pike flies,

Nice one, thanks Dai. I'll give that one a go too, as it may be better for the saltwater patterns.

Product(s) out of Hong Kong or no ... reading the seller's..

product description(s) is a total hoot.

Took me back to the early 1950's when reading the packaging/instruction materials that came with Japanese goods was half the fun of getting the product.

Electronics of some sort usually had you sitting down scratching your head trying to sort out 'what the heck are they trying to say here?'

Steff, here are a few bass patterns, easy to tie with top coat head.

3" long, and the bass love them.
Tied these up for when the wind drops, to get the boat out and fish the worm.
Good few fish about, from 3lb to 5lb on the worm. |\

                        Hi Ferg,

in Dai' absence; I have tried the ones as suggested above, and they are fantastic, and would certainly be just the ticket for baitfish heads etc. especially the thicker one.

                        Thanks,

                        TT.
