pigeon patterns?

Hi to all hope you had a good Xmas.

Apart from grayling bug's I seem to be going through a bit of a traditional phase with my tying and wondering why I don't find any patterns that utilise pigeon feathers. Do any of you know of any? Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Nobody really uses pigeon cos the feathers are absolutely crap. Once removed from the dead bird they also decay very quickly indeed. If you intend tinkering with them then please be very careful as pigeons carry some really nasty bugs. I would strongly recommend keeping them quarantined from your other materials.

Many thanks for the reply laffingravy. I thought thought there must of been a rational reason why they were not used suppose I will just have to enjoy them for their meat.
