hi dai great looking flies as usual how do u get you heads that neet is it a matter of practice makes perfect or is it also to do with the thread you use or the varnish etc|\

John, The small heads, just come will practice. plus the thread I use is Danville 70 denier, lays very flat when spun out. it's the only make I use. from 40 denier up to 240 denier the heaver ones for pike / bass flies.
