One thing i really like, is the old patterns. more so Dee and spey flies, last season i used some spey patterns, and had a number of sewin and my biggest salmon on spey flies.
So this coming season aswell as spey flies, i will be trying some Dee patterns.
below are some of the patterns, i tied up ready to try.
Above is my take on the Akroyd Dee fly.
Above, are three other free style patterns. that i have tied up, in colors that i think will work.
And above, a spey on a tube, tied with bronze mallard wing dyed pink. pink is a color that works well for me, in the river and SWFF.
All the tubes, are 13/4" long, from nose of tube to the end of hook tubing.
