Another pattern designed by Ross MacDonald which has noteable success all year round. Once again with a pattern where the oiriginal uses 3 tufts of Arctic Runner for the tail I substitue the bottom layer with calf tail to provide support and help prevent the tail fouling the hook points. There is a minor trade off between mobility and having the fly swim out of trim or even not hooking the fish.
