Not sure what good it will do us that are based in Wales as I believe it's primarily for English waterways, due to different bodies etc. However, I have started to mark down sightings, as it can't hurt:

Seeing a lot of cormorants of late, basically every time I'm going out, including 4 flying over on Saturday.

I have seen a lot more of the cormorant and bloody mink this season.

This request is Teifi specific. From now on can you please either reply here, send me a pm or an email detailing; date, time and location you spotted either cormorants, goosanders or mergansers. This would be very useful please as we need this in order to apply for a culling licence. However, we need a better picture up and down the valley first.

I have seen very few goosanders/mergansers this season. Is anyone else seeing them along the system? Seeing quite a few cormorants - virtually every time I go out.
