I have the following email from the Agency regarding the reorganisation of their web site.
Starts:
We no longer have separate sections of the site for Environment Agency
Wales or our 7 regions. This is because we found we were duplicating
lots of information which made it more difficult to keep up to date and
meant people were unsure which was the most up to date content.
We now have all the fishing information for anglers in the At home and
Leisure > Outdoor recreation > Fishing section of the website, and
information for Fisheries managers in the Business and Industry >
Sectors > Fisheries and Aquaculture section. These sections also
contain any information variations for EA Wales or the regions - the
idea being that you can find all the information for each location in
the same section of the site. Particularly useful as some of our
regional boundaries do not match county boundaries as they are based on
catchment areas - so some parts of Midlands Region are geographically in
Wales and vice-versa.
Our Interactive Content Team is working with colleagues in the Fisheries
department to improve the pages. If you have any specific feedback
about the content on the site, I would be happy to pass it on to them to
incorporate in their work.
Hope it helps.
