I will be returning for my usual trip to South America in February 2013 and will be taking a group of 6 with me. This will be fishing on the Rio Grande on my favourite week of the season; 16-23rd February.
This will be on the prime middle reaches of the river over on the Chilean side. Bonus of this is that night fishing is permitted! And I have already explored this with the guides where we can try some decent night sessions on any night/s where the conditions allow and dictate. This is a hugely productive method, exactly the same as back home basically, but for, on average, larger fish.
Throughout the week you can fish the Grande along with some other river systems and lakes. You will find images from previous trips in the photo gallery section (it's a beautiful area):

A great opportunity and one that I would encourage any avid sea-trout angler to experience at least once in their life.
Cost for a week is $4,500 US Dollars, which is around £2,850. This includes transfers to/from the lodge, guiding (2 to a guide), fully catered lodge based accommodation (including alcohol) with single rooms as standard. On top of this you will have the longhaul flight, which currently costs £750 with one change or £950 direct. One internal flight, which currently costs £400. Then you have guide tips; (don't eat yellow snow), £250, then one/two night hotel stay in Buenos Aires along with meals and transfers in Buenos Aires.
